Naromoru Route
Hiking time: 3–4 hours
Distance: 9 km
Altitude gain: +650m
Highlights:
Registration at Naromoru Park Gate.
Ascend through montane forest with colombus monkeys & birdlife
Trail through bamboo zone to Met Station.
Evening briefing, acclimatization walk, dinner & overnight at the bandas
Hiking time: 6–10 hours
Distance: 10 km
Altitude gain: +1,150m
Highlights:
Early start to tackle the Vertical Bog section
Transition from heather zone to alpine moorland.
Stunning views of Teleki Valley and the snow-capped peaks.
Arrival at Mackinders Camp for hot coffee and rest.
Afternoon acclimatization walk around the camp.
Summit push: Start at 2:00–3:00 AM
Hiking time: 10–12 hours total
Distance: 18 km
Altitude gain: +785m to the summit, then descent
Highlights:
Pre-dawn ascent to Point Lenana for a spectacular sunrise.
Panoramic views of Batian and Nelion peaks, and distant peaks of Kenya.
Gratitude & Photo session at the summit before descending back to Mackinders for hot breakfast
Descend further down to Met station to reduce altitude.
Hot dinner and well-deserved rest
Hiking time: 2–3 hours
Distance: 9 km
Altitude loss: -650m

Easy descent through bamboo and forest zones.
